On April 21st, 2016 Fern Laplante passed away at the age of 58 leaving us with special memories we will cherish forever. His smile would draw you in and his “you cute” had you hooked for life. Fern’s love of others and love of life leaves us all inspiring to be more and do more because of him. Son of the late Henri and the late Mary (nee Brackett) Laplante. Loving brother of Shirley Pomykala (late Joe), Donald Laplante, Suzanne Picard (Jean-Guy), Diane Ricard (late Denis) (Diane’s partner Denis Legault) and Paul Laplante (Danielle). Predeceased by his brothers Raymond Laplante (Louise) and Maurice Laplante and by his sister Joan Laliberté. He will be cherished always by his many nieces and nephews as well as special friends Greta Kemp, Pierre Laliberte, Carrie and Andre Gervais. Special thanks goes to Dr. Lane and Melissa at North Eastern Geriatrics Clinic as well as all the wonderful people who have worked with Fern over the years. We are having a “Party” to celebrate Fern on April 30th, 2016 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the hall of St. Jacques Church in Hanmer. Everyone is welcome.
