In loving memory of Lucienne Gerling, passed away at the Pioneer Manor in Sudbury on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the age of 91 years. Wife of the late George Gerling (1986). Daughter of the late Joseph and Clorina (née Pilon) Laurin. Dear mother of Don (Sharon) of Waterloo and daughter-in-law of Mary Beth Gerling of Chelmsford. Cherished grandmother of Todd (Angela) and Rodney Gerling of Chelmsford, Deanna (John) Farkas of Napean, Kelly (Charles) Mear of Lowville, N.Y., and Kristin (Skip) Corbett of Waterloo. Great-grandmother of Emily, Nathan, Owen, Christine, Tanner, Brandon, Grace, Adam and Joseph. Dear sister of Rozina Poitras. Predeceased by her son Ron (2014). Predeceased by brothers and sisters Gracia, Edmond, Joseph, Beatrice, Brunel, Sylvia and Fernand. Lou will be remembered for her love of bingo, cards and darts. She also worked at CVDCS in Chelmsford for many years as Day Matron also known as “Sponge Lady”. Lucienne was a Legion Branch 553 member of the Ladies Auxiliary. Special thank you to the nurses and doctors who made her last days comfortable and to the staff at the Pioneer Manor, where she resided for the past few months. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691 Regional Road 15, Chelmsford on Friday, November 13th, 2015 from 2-5 & 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 14th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Alexander Church, Chelmsford.
