Obituary for Aline Tellier (Marchand)

Aline Tellier (Marchand)
Aline Marie Tellier (Marchand)
1942-2018
Sudbury, Ontario
It is with great sadness that the family of Aline Marie Tellier (Marchand) announces her passing on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the age of 75. Born in Pain Court, Ontario to the late Rémi and Alma Marchand (Griffore), she is survived by her husband Aurèle, her children Serge, Christine and Anik, her sons-in-law Jean-Charles and Sean, and her grandchildren Alexandre, Noah and Maggie, Marie-Ange, Gregori and Geneviève. Loving sister to Leo (Mae), Clifford (Marilyn), Ernest (Christine), Annette and late Maurice, and sister-in-law to late Ernest (Annette), Rachelle (late Ronald), Jean-Baptiste (Annette), Claude (Denise), Stella (late Clément), Conrad (Diane), Marie Angel (René), late Marcellin, late Pierre and Jacinthe (David), Aline will also be dearly missed by countless other family members, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, colleagues and friends throughout Canada, the United States and around the world. A model educator and loving mother, Aline spent the entirety of her life caring for other people and helping them succeed. She was passionate about education and committed over thirty-three years of her career to teaching – starting in Haileybury, then to Verner, Val Caron, and Rayside, before concluding at École secondaire Macdonald Cartier in Sudbury. She selflessly dedicated time and energy guiding her students’ studies while nurturing their personal interests and professional aspirations. Due to her exceptional commitment, many people outside the classroom, most notably her close friends and family, also attained a balanced life perspective, an enriched intellect and a sensitivity instilled by her teachings. Aline’s devotion and generosity will live on through all those she’s touched for years to come. Respecting Aline’s wishes, there will be no visitation hours or funeral service. Donations in her name to a charity or cause of choice are welcomed. A celebration of Aline’s life will be planned at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Sudbury.
