BRUNET, Gracia (née Desforges). The family announces with sorrow her death in Sturgeon Falls, Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the age of 97. Daughter of the late Pierre and of the late Anna (née Martel) Desforges. Wife of the late Albert Brunet. Loving mother of Colette Gervais (Benoît), Huguette Labelle (Conrad), Claudette Leblanc (Laurent), Armelle, Gisèle Ranger (Constant), Nicole Papineau, Diane (friend Ronald Netherton), Gilles (Louise) and Albert. She is predeceased by two sons, Jacques and Pierre. Also predeceased by her brothers and sisters Philomène Démoré, Donat, Eugène, Zenon, RoseAnna Morin/Delkelver, Georges, Rémi, Maglorie, Marie Lacoste, Charlemagne and Lucienne and 3 of her grandchildren. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by 35 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered for her kind words, her warm welcome, her joy of singing and her card games. She loved to entertain family and friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame) Sudbury,Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. and Friday, March 3, 2017 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 4 p.m. in St-Jacques Church, Hanmer.
