It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing in Sudbury on Friday, October 7th, 2016 at the age of 57 years. Son of the late Sylvio and Marièlle (née Leroux) Laurin. Beloved special friend to Laurette Steffane. Dear brother of Suzanne Rose (Ari, Ray), Germain Laurin (Jeanette), Armande Croke (Donald) and Sylvia Laurin (Mark). Predeceased by his sisters and brothers, Carmène, Estelle, Robert and Pièrre Laurin. Step-father of Richard Steffane, Bruce Steffane (Linda) and Serge Bureau (Michelle). Predeceased by his step-son Denis Bureau. Sadly missed by his step-grandchildren Damon, Lucie and by his great-grandson Ashton. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Normand was a gentle, kind soul, one who was more concerned with the welfare of others than himself. During his long suffering, one never heard him complain. Normand loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and blueberry picking. The family would like to thank the staff of Maison Vale Hospice for the quality of care and support. Memorial donations can be made by cheque or online to the Maison Vale Hospice. In keeping with Normand’s wishes there will be no visitation or service.
