Raynald "Arbour" Diotte
It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing in Sudbury on Saturday, November 21st, 2015 at the age of 83 years. Son of the late Xavier and late Jeanne (née Deslauriers) Diotte. Beloved husband of Bertha Diotte (née Lauzon) of Sudbury. Loving father of Rene Diotte (Lorna) and Lianne Broadworth (Randy). Dear brother of Rodrigue Guillot, Yvon Guillot, Carmel, Rhéa, Louise, Huguette and Gilberte. Predeceased by his brother Roméo and sister Aline. Cherished grandfather of Kayla, Jason and Logan. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was born in Grande-Rivière, Gaspé, Quebec in 1932 and moved to Sudbury with siblings in 1954 where he worked as a carpenter and crane operator until he retired at the age of 60. Arbour loved to prank his friends and family, he was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman, master cheater at cards but best known for his MacGyver skills. We will never forget you. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Thursday, November 26th, 2015 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel.
