The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Val Caron, Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the age of 87 years. Husband of the late Juliette (née Sabourin) Pelland. Son of the late Rodolphe and the late Annette (née Sylvestre) Pelland. Beloved father of Pauline Rainville (late Maurice), Pierre (Carolyn), Denis (Lise), Lise Gladu (Ronald), Jacques Jr. (Jacqueline), Gilles (Gisèle) and Paul (Thelma). Loving brother of Jacqueline Simoneau (Gerald), Rita Campeau (late Gaston), Gilles (Yvette), Lucille Beaulieu (Romeo), Suzanne Sovinski (late John), Françoise Menard (Gerald) and Yollande Drouillard. Predeceased by his sister Thérèse Perreault, Huguette Quesnel (Ronald) and by his brothers Jean-Guy (Carmen), Marcel (Bibianne), Roger (late Juliette) and Jean-Paul (Renée). Cherished grandfather of Natalie, Nicole, Christopher, Renée, Leighanne, Peter-Andrew, Jason, André, Aline, Annette, Lee-Ann, Sylvain, Maryse, Emilie, Weston, Stéphanie and great-grandfather of 14. A special thank you to the staff at the Elizabeth Centre for their compassion and care. Jacques was very involved in his community and his church. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St-Jean-de-Brébeuf Church, Sudbury.
