The family announces, with great sorrow, his passing in Sturgeon Falls, Monday, April 6, 2015 at the age of 92 years. Beloved husband of Marguerite Ethier (née Pilon) passed away January 25th, 2015. Son of the late Jules and Joséphine (née Vaillancourt) Ethier. Loving father of Guy (Nicole), Jean-Marc (Carmen) Paulette (Lloyd), Aline and Vincent (Carmen). Sadly missed by 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren + 1. Dear brother of Gilles Ethier (Elizabeth) of Sturgeon. Predeceased by his brothers, Armand (late Rita), Serge (late Concorde), Camille (late Lorraine), Béatrice Courville (late Gérard), Jeanne d’Arc Ethier, Gertrude Levac (late Théodore), Cécile Ethier, Jacqueline Bellefeuille (late Joseph) and Madeleine Gagnon (late Gustave). Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Mr. Ethier retired as a teacher after 37 years of service. Aurèle will be remembered for having enjoyed woodworking and a proud member of the seniors shop as well as having been involved in the organization of cooperatives and member of the credit committee at the Noëlville Caisse populaire. He was an avid gardener and thoroughly enjoyed spending time at his cottage with family and friends. The family expresses its gratitude to the staff at « Au Château » for the kind and compassionate care give during his stay. He will be remembered as a great dad, a doting grandfather, a concerned professor and for his love and respect of nature. The family will receive relatives and friends at St-David’s parish hall, Noëlville, Friday, April 10, 2015 from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. and Saturday, after 9:00 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. in St-David’s Church, Noëlville.
