DUHAIME, Blanche (née Piché)
It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing in Sudbury at the age of 101. Wife of the late Isidore Duhaime. She died peacefully on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Health Sciences North Hospital in Sudbury. Daughter of the late David Piché and the late Georgianna Piché (née Renaud). She is survived by her children, Charlotte (Tom Bogomaz), Michel, Lloyd (Janet McGeein), Patrick, Marc (Cheryl Martel), Gerald all of Sudbury, Louise (Gord Hamilton) of Calgary, as well as 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister Annette Roberge and several nephews and nieces. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Gérard Piché, Rita Beaudoin, Lucille Roberge, Jules Piché, Fleurette Coutu, Marie-Laure Lavallée and Gabrielle Mc Murray. Blanche was a teacher for 50 years at several Sudbury schools, Lavigne and Clarence Creek. We will remember her phenomenal memory and her talent as a storyteller. As per Blanche's wishes, there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Ste-Anne-des-Pins Church, Sudbury. The family will receive relatives and friends at 9:45 a.m. before the church service. In lieu of flowers, donations (by cheque only) to NeoKids Foundation are appreciated. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to COOPERATIVE FUNERAL, Sudbury.
