AUBIN, Gilberte (née Filion)

We regret to announce the passing of Gilberte Filion-Aubin on Monday, June 11th, 2018 at the age of 92 at Health Sciences North. She leaves to mourn her children, Denise (late Dominique Perras) of Val Rita, Claude and Suzanne (née Labelle-St-Amour), Jacques (Lynn Prévost) both of Azilda and Rachelle (late Stanley Soroko) of Sudbury . Beloved grandmother of Roch Perras (Angie), Julien Perras (Kelly-Ann), Jean-Paul St-Amour (friend Mélanie), Véronique and Dominique Aubin, Pascal and Isabelle Prévost-Aubin. Cherished great-grandmother of Stéphanie (Marc Turpin), Mélanie (Steve Marcil), Luc and Roxanne Perras, Isaac and Jacob St-Amour, Bryson Berry, Ryker Kells-Aubin. She also had the joy of holding her great-great-grandson Jacob Turpin. She also leaves to mourn her two sisters: Florence (François Labelle) of Holland Landing and Jeannine (Gabriel Giroux) of Sudbury, as well as several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and many nephews and nieces. Predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Armand Aubin, by her son Gilles Aubin, her parents Alexandre Filion and Béatrice (Lavigne), her brothers and sisters: Paulydor, Yvonne (Lucien Guimond), Arthur (Germaine), Albert (Laura) , Juliette (Paul Belisle), Ferdinand, Armand, Thérèse (Joseph Lapierre), Adelard (Rita), Rachel (Antoine Dubé). She took great pleasure in life. She was an excellent cook and a gifted craftswoman and leaves a legacy of her many works. She loved gardening and she was the happiest when she could entertain her family and friends. She was giving and loving woman, who was always ready to lend a helping hand. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 4691 R.R. 15, Chelmsford on Thursday, June 14th , 2018 from 2 to 5 pm and 7 to 9:30 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 15th, 2018 at 11 am at Ste-Agnès Church, Azilda. As a token of sympathy the family will be grateful for donations by cheque or online to March of Dimes or Epilepsy Ontario (Canada Helps.org)
