ASSELIN, Laurie (née Labre)
The family announces with great sorrow her passing in Sudbury, Monday, February 26, 2018 at the age of 90 years. Wife of the late Louis Asselin, and companion to the late Marcel Labelle. Daughter of the late Adelard and the late Lorenza (née Bertrand) Labre. Loving mother of Jacqueline Brisson (Roland) of Hanmer, Diane Massicotte (late Rolly), Gisèle Lebreton (Edmond), Robert “Bob” (Debbie) all of Sudbury and Lynn Asselin of Vancouver. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters Aldéa Charbonneau, Lucien, Ernest, Roland, Thérèse Watier, Alice Brabant, Hortence Scanlan and Flora Proulx. Cherished grandmother of André, Mélanie and Marc Brisson, Ginette Massicotte-Lafrange and Robert Massicotte, Jason Martin and Jodie Martin-Martel, Chris, Troy and Shawn Asselin. Loving great-grandmother of eighteen. In keeping with Laurie’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial mass and celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St-Dominique Church, Sudbury.
