DÉMORÉ, Donald
In loving memory of Donald Démoré, age 74, who passed away on March 1st, 2018, with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband of 50 years to Adrienne Démoré (Bergeron). Father of André (Johanne), Alain (Patricia) and grandfather to his most cherished grandchildren Matthew and Brady as well as Gabrielle and Desirée (both predeceased). Son of the late Ernest Démoré and the late Lucille Savard. He came from a family of 8 children: Laurent (predeceased) wife Marie; Fernand (wife Aurelda, both predeceased); Réjean (predeceased) wife Irène, partner Marcel Gagnon (predeceased); Rhéal (predeceased) wife Françoise; Yvette Gobeil (Albert predeceased); Simone Brabant (Eugène predeceased); Anita Larcher (Gerry predeceased), partner Dennis. He will be missed by his special brother-in-law Clarence Bergeron (Jackie), his sister-in-law Viviane Labranche (Doug Cook) along with many nieces and nephews. As a young man, he worked as a cook at Sacred Heart College. He then worked at Inco for 32 years and retired in 1997. Don volunteered for many years at St. Jean de Brébeuf Church and 10 years at the Sudbury General Hospital as a porter. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Don was a gentle man with a big heart. He was famous at baking bread, making homemade beans and head cheese that he would gladly share with his immediate family. He hosted many gatherings at his home for friends and family, and also enjoyed spending time on the French River. Over the years, Don and Adrienne enjoyed travelling to many different countries. He will be greatly missed. The family have sincerely appreciated the special care given by Dr. DeBlacam, Dr. Ishak, Dr. Snider, Dr. Yokogawa, the PSWs at Care Partners, the speech and language pathologists as well as the staff on the 7th Floor HSN. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Thursday, March 8th from 2 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St-Jean-de-Brébeuf Church on Friday, March 9th at 10:30 a.m. Donations can be made (by cheque only) to the St-Jean-de-Brébeuf Church Repair Fund.
