The family announces with great sorrow her passing in Sudbury on Wednesday, February 28th, 2018 at the age of 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Sylvestre Rivard. Dear daughter of the late Pietro and the late Romana (née Modolo) Marcon. Loving mother of Corinne Read (Tony), Deborah Kosiw (Peter), Kevin Rivard and predeceased by her daughter Francine Rivard-Bérubé (Robert). Sister of Albino Marcon (Sharon). Predeceased by her siblings Liberale Marcon (late Rita) (Annette), Letitia Lemieux (late Armand), Esther Marcon, Michaele, and infant brother Marcon. Cherished Nonna of Kelly Mallet (Eric), Marielle Rivard-Bérubé (Pierre), Mark Read, Colin Read, Kathleen Myre (Rick), Amanda Chaloupka (Andrew), Jennifer Legris (Patrick), Alexandre Rivard and Bis-Nonna to Christian, Nicolas, Isabella, Hendrix, Brayden, Elizabeth, Raphaël and Serena. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Livia was a great seamstress; she had creative hands, mastered any crafts she tried, and loved making dolls. She enjoyed bowling, playing darts and also taking trips with the Italian Ladies Auxiliary. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd., Sudbury, Monday, March 5, 2018 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Notre-Dame de la Merci Church, Coniston.
