On February 27th, 2018 at the young age of 98, strong and fighting until the end, he was greeted at the gates of heaven by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Many family was also there to greet him, including his parents Rose and Henry Gladu, his daughters Ida and Flo, his son Andy, his grandsons Roger and Jacob and granddaughters Suzy and Nikki and great-granddaughter Layla.

He was a World War II Veteran, a strong, devoted and loving husband and father. A hard working man with a God given green thumb that provided for his family year after year. Andy will be greatly missed by his wife Fern Gladu of 55 years who cared for him until the end. His loving children Linda Gladu (John), David Bell (Suzy), Debbie Bell (Frank), Jim Gladu (Sylvie) and Laura LeBlanc (Peter). He left behind quite a legacy of 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, his sister Lucille Rheault (at age 96 years young), his long-time friend Leo St-Jean and his son in-law Rick and daughter-in-law Cindy. He will also be sadly missed by relatives and friends.
