It is with sadness and great love that our family announces the passing of Fred in Sudbury, Friday, February 9, 2018 at the age of 94 years. Beloved husband of Laurette Zettler-Vincent (née Valade) of Sudbury. Predeceased by his first wife, the former Flora Duchesne, in 1996. Loving father of Jeannette Vincent-Stevenson (Robert). Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Jacqueline Ashman (Richard), Bennett Stevenson (Rebecca) of Calgary, Nicola, Guerino, Annita and Roseria Nero all of Sudbury. Great-grandchildren Sophie Ashman, and Norah Stevenson of Calgary. Predeceased by his brothers Aldege (late Auxilda), Camille (late Annette), Ovila (late Stephanie), Sam (late Marguerite), and Leo (Laura). Stepfather to Michelle Zettler (Ron), Rachelle Zettler (late Frank), Rhea Dalton (Frank); and numerous nieces and nephews. Fred joined the army in 1943 Second Battalion Queen’s Own Rifles, CPL-Infantry Core, and was discharged in 1945 due to an injury. Fred worked at Inco in the Copper Cliff refinery from 1947-1982. Besides family his passion was volunteering. A veteran, serving other veterans. He never tired of helping war veterans and their widows in Sudbury and area for more than 35 years.
