The family announces with sorrow his death in Chelmsford on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the age of 90 years. Beloved husband of Agnes (née Tanguay) of Coniston, predeceased in 2011. Son of the late Antoine “Tony” and the late Marie Louise (née Michaud) Desautels. Loving Father of Guy Desautels (Kathy) of Plano, Texas. Predeceased by his son Luc in 2012 and his daughter Camille in 1964. Dear brother of Aline (late Jacques Boyer) of Candiac, QC, Louise (late Ken Burkhalter) of Switzerland, Predeceased by his sisters Marcelle (late George Lachance) of Laval, QC., Lucille (late Léo Poirier) of Coniston, and brothers Jean (late Françoise Paiement) of Outremont, QC , René (late Laurette Leblanc), Louise Cérat of Pointe Claire QC, Roger and Maurice both from Coniston. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Émilie Bouchard-Desautels, Jasmin Bouchard-Desautels and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Paul was more than just a great father. He was a friend, a teacher and my Hero. Paul worked at Inco until his retirement in 1984. A practical joker by nature, he has always found a way to laugh and make others laugh even during difficult times. He will surely be missed. At my father’s request, there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 1 p.m. in Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci Church, Coniston. A celebration of life will thereafter be held at the Colonial Inn banquet room also in Coniston.
