Obituary for Lorraine Robineau (Maisonneuve)

Lorraine Robineau (Maisonneuve)
Guy and Sylvie announce with great sorrow the passing of their mother Lorraine Robineau, peacefully in the early hours of November 6, 2017 at McCulloch Maison Hospice.
From riding on the back of her late husband Marcel’s motorcycle, to cheering her son Guy at hockey and celebrating her daughter Sylvie’s scholastic achievements, Lorraine experienced a full and adventurous life.
She was proud of achieving her BScN from Laurentian University while Guy and Sylvie pursued their degrees.
She schooled herself to perfection in mastering her golf skills over the years notably winning the Ladies Club Championship at Timberwolf.
After retiring as public health nurse at the Sudbury & District Health Unit with 26 years of service she achieved her lifelong dream of following the footsteps of her mother in travelling to all four corners of the globe.
For those who knew Lorraine, they would know her as an elegant and classy woman but beneath the surface was a true farm girl who called a spade a spade and was still loved by all.

She was the loving wife of the late Marcel Robineau. Daughter of the late Laurent and Lucia Maisonneuve. Loving mother of Guy Robineau (Carol Craig) of Sudbury and Sylvie Swarbrick (Scott Ellis) of Barrie. Dear sister of Denise Marleau (André). Predeceased by her sisters Murielle Laferrière (Gerry) and Louise Moylan (Joe). Cherished grandmother of Martine and Christian Swarbrick as well as aunt to Lucie and Denis Marleau, Patrick and Joëlle Laferrière and Bill Moylan.
Loved sister in law to the Robineau Family of Sturgeon Falls – Yvan, Diane, Sue, Gisele, Linda and the late Gerald and their entire families.
Dearest friend to Joe and Sylvia Drago and Auntie to Lisa and Deana.
The family is grateful to Josie at the Walford Residence, the hospice family, and the PSWs Monique and Lynn for their love as well as their support. ‘Un gros câlin’ to Dr Walton.
The family will receive relatives and friends Saturday November 11, 2017 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury. A chapel service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Donations to Maison McCulloch Hospice can be made by cheque or online at www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca.
