In loving memory of Alfred Paquette who passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the age of 102. Son of the late Charles and the late Léda (née Blanchette) Paquette. Beloved husband of 55 years, Lucienne (née Pharand) (predeceased) and Rita Robillard (predeceased). Cherished father of Normand Paquette (Monique), Louise Paquette and Roland Paquette (Sylvie). He was grandfather to Danielle, Carole, Renée, Mélanie and Michel. He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren Julia, Karly, Justin, Lisa, Brady, Carey, Lawson and Mikayla. He will be remembered fondly by his siblings, Louis Paquette (Lorraine), Alice Paquette (fille de la Sagesse), Rita Paquette (Fille de la Sagesse) and Thérèse Fournier (Jean-Charles). He is predeceased by his brothers Joseph (Clarice), Wilbrod (Thérèse), Ubald (Fabiola) and sisters Léocadie Ouelette (Hector), Délila Leblanc (Ferdinand), Yvonne Maisonneuve (Wilfrid) and Rose Cayen (Roger). Brother-in-law to Aimé Pharand (Huguette), Berthe Proulx (Georges) (predeceased), Gabrielle Pharand (Alcide) (predeceased), Fernand Pharand (Cécile) (both predeceased) and Arthur Pharand (Agathe) (both predeceased). Alfred raised his family in Sudbury and worked at INCO for 32 years. Pepère had plenty of stories to share. He loved reminiscing about his younger years. He leaves us with plenty of great memories. The family would like to thank the staff at Pioneer Manor and especially Cedar Place for the great care they provided throughout his stay as well as the exceptional compassion during this difficult time. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Thursday, August 24th, 2017 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, August 25th, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St-Jean-de-Brébeuf Church, Sudbury.
