Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Health Sciences North, Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the age of 68 years. Beloved wife of 47 years of Maurice Fournier of Hanmer. Daughter of the late Lionel and the late Henriette (née Ricard) Brisson. Survived by her step-father Stephane Simard of Sudbury. Loving mother of Luc Fournier (Chantal) of Hanmer and Alain Fournier (Jennifer Collin) of Val Caron. Dear sister of Pierre Brisson (Sue) of Azilda, Claudette Bélanger (friend John) of Chelmsford, Louise Montpellier (Jean-Claude) of Montréal and Noëlla Lagacé (Gilles) of Chelmsford. Predeceased by her brothers René and Michel (Madeleine of Azilda). Cherished grandmother of Cody, Alexandre, Véronik and Jenna. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. Madeleine enjoyed doing crafts, knitting, making jewellery, taking trips to the Casino with her friends but was happiest when surrounded by her family. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4570 St-Joseph St, Hanmer, Friday, July 21, 2017 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at St-Jacques Church, Hanmer.
