It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing in Edmonton, Alberta on Wednesday, July 1st, 2015 at the age of 42 years. Beloved son of Dorothy (née Kish) Unrau of Sudbury and the late Jakob “Jake” Unrau. Grandson of the late James and of the late Betty Kish. Dear brother of Dan Unrau (Michelle) of Sudbury, Lisa McBain (Greg) of Capreol and Eddy Unrau (Sherri) of Azilda. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews Kayla, Brittany, Josh, Rylee, Bradyn, Ava, great-niece Ameah and great-nephew Landon. Lovingly remembered by many colleagues and friends; too many to mention. Corporal John was an armored crewman in the Canadian Armed Forces and was proud to serve his country. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 4691 R.R. 15, Chelmsford, Saturday, July 11th, 2015 from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. in the Chapel.
