It is with great sorrow that the family announces her passing on Sunday, January 25, 2015 in Sturgeon Falls at the age of 89 years. Daughter of the late Joseph and late Délina (née Rancourt) Pilon. Beloved wife of Aurèle Ethier. Loving mother of Guy (Nicole), Jean-Marc (Carmen) Paulette (Lloyd), Aline and Vincent (Carmen). Dear sister of Claire Vaillancourt (Raymond), 1 brother-in-law Gilles Ethier (Elizabeth ‘Betty’). Predeceased by her siblings Adrienne, Cécile, Paul, Roland, Gabriel and Victor. Sadly missed by 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren + 1. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She will remembered for her great love of children, her own and any child that would cross her path, her love of the outdoors, special family reunions at camp and her exceptional creative talents as an accomplished seamstress. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at the Nipissing West Hospital and Au Château for the care given to Mom during her stay. The family will receive relatives and friends at the St-David Parish hall in Noëlville on Friday, January 30th, 2015 from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. and Saturday morning after 9 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 31st, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St-David Church, Noëlville. As an expression of condolences, donations (by cheque only) to the Alzheimer’s Society of Sudbury (Day Centre) are appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Cooperative Funeral Home, Sudbury.
