Obituary for Kenneth Zayette

In loving memory of KEN ZAYETTE, 69 years, who passed away suddenly at home. Beloved husband of Karen Zayette (nee Suter) of Levack. Loving father of Brian of Ottawa, Darrell (Stacey) of Wahnapitae and Amanda Miner (Scott) of Dowling. Beloved son of Mary Hlywka and Anthony Zayette ( both predeceased), and brother of Frances Brant. Cherished Grampa ‘Zee’ of Colin, Jessica and Katrina. Ken worked for INCO for 41 years, retiring in 2010. He was very active in wrestling for many years both as a coach and referee. Other activities that kept him busy in his younger years were broomball, blooperball, organizing Industrial Hockey tournaments in Chelmsford and, of course, family. He loved snowmobiling and playing squash, helping many new players on the squash court. Ken took up golf and skiing about 15 years ago and they became his new passions, along with many wonderful vacations in the fifth wheel. Flowers gratefully declined. Family & friends will be received at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury for a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, June 25th, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. and everyone is welcome to share memories and stories at 6 p.m.
